The Feast of Tabernacles

Uncategorized

3 Oct

My son-in-law, Daniel, is native Israeli, so we celebrate the traditional Jewish holidays. It’s part of that patchwork of different nationalities of our family that I mentioned in one of my videos.

We recently celebrated Sukkot, The Feast of Tabernacles. I invited friends over for the celebration. Daniel wore his kippa and read the traditional prayers. We ate a special meal outside in our improvised shelter. We remembered how God cares for us and how He cared for the Jewish people during the forty years they lived in tents in the wilderness.

If you’d like to read about God’s command to the Jewish people all those years ago, you can find it in the Bible in Leviticus 23:40-43. Who knows? You might want to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles with your family next year.
